Citing the economic impact of COVID-19 on U.S. workers, President Trump has extended his proclamation to suspend entry to the US of certain non-immigrant work visa categories. As such, effective June 24, 2020, H-1B, H-2B, J and L non-immigrants who are outside the United States and who do not have a valid visa or a valid travel documentation, will not be permitted to travel to the United States. The temporary suspension will last until December 31, 2020. However, the proclamation notes that the ban will be periodically reviewed and may possibly be extended.
