Instead of first conducting the U.S. master’s degree lottery and then adding any remaining U.S. master’s degree beneficiaries into the “regular” lottery, the Department of Homeland Security will now:

*First, conduct the “regular” lottery for 65,000 visas with the master’s degree beneficiaries included;

*Then, add the remaining U.S. master’s degree beneficiaries into a lottery for the separate 20,000 U.S. master’s degree allocation.

Under the new selection process, the number of master’s degree beneficiaries selected in the 2019 U.S. advanced degree holders H1-B lottery is expected to increase by up to 16%, or 5,340 additional master’s degree beneficiaries selected this year. For more see: https://lnkd.in/dz__wAf
